Italian cancer advocacy events in Naples and Crotone

On 11 October, AiCS Campania and AiCS Ambiente joined the Race for the Cure walk in Naples, organized by Komen Italia. Participants pay a €13 donation to receive a T‑shirt and bag, and the event includes free breast‑cancer screenings and cultural visits along the waterfront.

In Crotone, five local associations have launched a petition to the regional health authority (ASP) demanding dedicated, safe premises for the oncology ward at San Giovanni di Dio hospital. The petition cites inadequate space, shared facilities with nephrology, and poor infrastructure, and calls for a permanent relocation to a suitable floor.

Both initiatives aim to improve cancer prevention, treatment conditions, and public awareness in Italy.
