Italian police seize kilos of drugs in raids across multiple cities

Police operations in several Italian regions resulted in the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs and the arrest of dozens of suspects. In Pordenone, the Guardia di Finanza uncovered a hidden drug market in a shop, confiscating nearly 13 kg of cocaine, hashish, marijuana, hallucinogenic fungi and synthetic substances, and arresting a young man from Maniago. In Bologna, carabinieri seized 4.4 kg of marijuana and arrested an Albanian and an Italian suspect. In Catania, a 62‑year‑old was arrested after heroin was found hidden in a shoe. Pescara’s “Estate Sicura” operation led to 27 drug seizures during nightlife checks. Bari’s “Alto Impatto” blitz in the city centre resulted in arrests, expulsions and the involvement of French police. Palermo agents, aided by a drug‑sniffing dog, captured a 26‑year‑old pusher and seized additional hashish. Similar arrests and seizures occurred in Salerno, Battipaglia, Monza, and Sassari, where a father and his minor son were detained. Across the operations, authorities also seized cash, precision scales and packaging equipment, highlighting a coordinated effort to combat drug trafficking throughout Italy.
