Italian Carabinieri intervene in domestic violence cases in Medolla and Cervino
The Carabinieri of the Medolla station responded to a threat against a 46‑year‑old woman on 8 June, removing her husband from the home and securing a court order that forbids him from approaching the victim and places an electronic monitoring device on him. The protective measures were confirmed on 24 June after a judicial order was issued.
In Cervino, Carabinieri responding to a 112 emergency call found a 41‑year‑old man intoxicated and assaulting his cohabiting wife in front of their minor children. The officers arrested the man in flagrante delicto and, following judicial authority, placed him under house arrest while investigations continue. Both incidents highlight the rapid response and protective actions of Italian police against family‑based violence.
