Italian Carabinieri seek new Schiavonea station as three commanders named in Romagna

The New Carabinieri Union of Calabria, led by regional secretary Antonio Noè, has urged the municipal administration to accelerate the opening of a Carabinieri station in Schiavonea. The town, a key tourist and agricultural hub, sees a seasonal surge in residents and workers, and officials argue that a permanent police presence would improve security, reduce workload on the existing Corigliano‑Rossano unit, and enhance the wellbeing of Carabinieri personnel.

In the Romagna region, three new commanders have been appointed to Carabinieri stations in Savignano, San Mauro Pascoli and Sogliano. The appointees are Toni Piacitelli, Antonio Marini and Davide Mischitelli. Provincial commander Col. Gianluigi Di Pilato congratulated them and called for dedication and availability in serving their communities.
