Italian Cassa di Risparmio Foundations Finance Hospital and Court Renovations

The Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ascoli Piceno approved a €527,000 contribution to the ‘Beato Antonio’ hospital in Amandola, Marche, to build two day‑surgery operating rooms. The funding covers structural work, prefabricated walls, Corian finishes and medical equipment, with the remaining costs backed by the Marche region and the local health authority (AST). The project is slated to start between September and October.

Separately, the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria committed €380,000 to improve the Palazzo di Giustizia in Alessandria, Piedmont. The money will be used to restore safety, decor and functionality after years of deterioration, addressing issues such as crumbling walls and falling debris that have endangered court users. The initiative was praised by the court’s president as an unprecedented municipal‑foundation partnership.

Both donations reflect a broader trend of regional banks’ charitable foundations supporting public‑service infrastructure in Italy.
