Italian castles host food festival and goldsmith exhibition

The historic Castello Ducale in Sessa Aurunca, Campania, opened its fifth edition of the Castello del Gusto, a food fair showcasing regional specialties, wines and culinary traditions of the province of Caserta.

At the Castello Angioino di Savuto in the Calabrian town of Cleto, goldsmith Michele Affidato presented the exhibition "I Gioielli dalla Magna Grecia ad Oggi," displaying a collection of jewelry that traces the development of Italian goldsmithing from ancient times to the present.

Both events underline the role of Italy’s medieval castles as cultural venues that connect local heritage with contemporary artistic and gastronomic expression.
