Italian Catholic bodies unveil 2026‑27 pastoral programs
The Action Cattolica of the Decanati of Appiano, Carnago and Tradate in Lombardy presented its 2026‑27 associative programme. The plan calls for joint activities across the three territories while respecting local needs, with a focus on youth, family, social inclusion and community projects such as housing, employment for vulnerable people and early‑childhood services. Key events include weekly lectio sessions, adult formation courses, a new edition of the “Esercizi di coscienza”, parish days, Advent and Lenten retreats and a March of Peace. The programme will be launched with a retreat on 5 August 2026 led by Monsignor Franco Agnesi.
Meanwhile, the Diocese of Ascoli Piceno announced its pastoral itinerary for 2026‑27, titled “Custodi della vita spirituale”. The path consists of three phases: personal discernment retreats (first held 29‑30 August 2026 at the Sisters of Teresa in Ripatransone), communal spiritual days for parish and economic councils, and the “Esercizi nella Vita Ordinaria” (EVO) scheduled for November 2026. The programme aims to foster listening, recognition of God’s presence in everyday life and collective decision‑making rooted in prayer and the Gospel.
Both initiatives seek to strengthen Catholic presence in local communities through structured spiritual formation and social outreach.
