Italian Catholic Dioceses Outline 2026‑2027 Pastoral Plans

The Dioceses of Tivoli and Palestrina have issued a pastoral letter titled “A ciascuno… una manifestazione particolare dello Spirito,” setting the agenda for the 2026‑2027 pastoral year. The letter calls for an integral formation that combines theological, spiritual and human dimensions, and schedules two days of training in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in San Vittorino Romano (19‑20 Oct 2026 for priests and deacons, 7‑8 Nov 2026 for pastoral operators) followed by a diocesan meeting to guide local communities.

In the neighboring Diocese of Pavia, Bishop Corrado Sanguineti presented the new pastoral year, emphasizing the transmission of faith, fraternal community, shared responsibility and the need to align structures with the Church’s mission. He referenced the recent visit of Pope Leo XIV as a source of inspiration, urging the diocese to keep Christ at the centre of its work and to foster evangelisation and new believers throughout 2026‑2027.
