Italian center-right leaders reject alliances with Roberto Vannacci
Political figures within the Italian center-right are defining boundaries regarding potential alliances with Roberto Vannacci. Orlandino Greco noted that Matteo Salvini has declined a new alliance with Vannacci, citing fundamental differences between the Lega’s federalist and liberal identity and Vannacci’s hyper-nationalist and radical positions. This sentiment was echoed by Calabria President Roberto Occhiuto, who stated that an alliance with Vannacci could alter the DNA of the center-right.
Alberto Feliziani of Fratelli d'Italia (FdI) also addressed the upcoming electoral landscape, emphasizing the need for coherence. He suggested that if Vannacci’s movement seeks to incorporate individuals already rejected by FdI, Forza Italia, and Lega, the center-right would be obligated to maintain its distance to ensure political integrity and attract disillusioned voters.
