Italian Chamber of Deputies honors Piero Melograni and the Manifesto of 101
A commemorative event held at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome honored Piero Melograni, marking 70 years since the Manifesto of 101 and the Hungarian Revolution. Organized by Maria Elena Boschi, the conference focused on the relationship between culture and politics, as well as the responsibility of intellectuals during historical fractures.
Speaker Lorenzo Fontana, President of the Chamber of Deputies, highlighted the importance of culture in fostering independent judgment and critical thinking, free from ideological subordination. Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri also spoke, praising Melograni’s commitment to scientific rigor and his courage in prioritizing freedom of judgment over political affiliations.
