Italian children explore Monte Penna with guided hikes and clean Trani beach

From 11 to 19 August 2026, access to trail 225 on Monte Penna in the Bagno di Romagna area is limited to groups accompanied by environmental guides appointed by the park and the Carabinieri Biodiversity Department. The free service allows up to 25 participants per half‑hour slot, with a two‑hour walk that combines a panoramic viewpoint with education about rare plants, erosion and local geology, aiming to protect biodiversity while offering quality family tourism.

On 6 August 2026, three girls—Adelaide (8), Claudia (5) and Nicole (5)—spontaneously collected litter on the free beach next to the Baia Nha lido in Trani. They gathered plastic, glass and other waste, intending to set a positive example for adults and promote respect for the marine environment. Their families highlighted the educational value of the act and hope it will encourage future volunteerism among youth.
