Italian cinema previews scheduled in Ancona and Sarzana

Two upcoming film screenings are scheduled in Italy. In Ancona, the Cinema Teatro Italia will host a preview of “I nemici del popolo,” a documentary directed by Andrea Marinelli. The film explores environmental and human rights issues, connecting the Amazon rainforest and Basilicata to the local impact of the Falconara refinery. The screening will feature director Marinelli and co-author Lorenzo Pellegrini.

In Sarzana, the cinema parrocchiale “Italia” will host the national premiere of “Dio ride,” directed by Giovanni Veronesi. Inspired by the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis, the film is a historical drama set in the 17th century following a Capuchin friar named Leopoldo da Casamacchia. The event includes a live connection with Veronesi and actors Pierfrancesco Favino and Silvio Orlando. The film is set for a wider Italian release on October 29.
