Italian cities host German students for cultural exchange programs

Italian municipalities are hosting German student delegations as part of ongoing town twinning programs aimed at fostering European citizenship and cultural exchange.

In Senigallia, students from the Fagnani and Mercantini middle schools met with students from the Realschule of Lörrach to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the twinning agreement between the two cities. Local officials emphasized that such exchanges allow young people to engage with different traditions and understand the practical value of European integration.

In Gualdo Tadino, students from the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Gymnasium of Schwandorf are participating in the “Young Ambassadors of Europe” project. The program, which has previously received international recognition, includes educational workshops, visits to regional museums, and participation in local traditions such as the Giochi de le Porte. The initiative facilitates direct interaction between Italian and German youth through shared cultural and social experiences.
