Italian clubs Ascoli and Inter plan key signings in summer transfer window

Serie B side Ascoli have opened talks with Palermo about acquiring 2004-born striker Giacomo Corona. The 22‑year‑old, son of former forward Giorgio Corona, has attracted interest from several Italian clubs, but Ascoli see him as a potential boost for their return to Serie B.

Inter Milan are also reshaping their squad, anticipating the departures of defender Andrea Acerbi and Dutch centre‑back Stefan De Vrij, who is close to a two‑year deal with Panathinaikos in Greece. The Nerazzurri are targeting Udinese defender Samir Solet, whose club demands around €30 million, and are also considering a low‑cost option such as Ostigard from Genoa to complete their defensive line.
