Italian clubs Ascoli and Scafatese announce key player signings

Midfielder Gennaro Acampora, a 1994‑born Napoli native with more than 200 Serie B appearances and a brief Serie A stint at Spezia, rejected a contract renewal with Pescara and signed a two‑year deal with Ascoli. The move adds experience to Ascoli’s midfield as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Serie C side Scafatese have identified central defender Antonio Granata as a transfer target. Granata, currently owned by Picerno and contracted until June 2027 with a renewal option for the club, has played for several lower‑division teams including Taranto, Gelbison, Padova and Virtus Entella. Scafatese’s management says negotiations will be complex due to his contract terms and financial demands.
