Italian clubs Fiorentina, Milazzo and Nuova Igea start summer pre‑season training

Fiorentina will play a summer friendly against English Championship side Watford on 29 July 2026 at Vicarage Road in London. The match, part of coach Fabio Grosso’s preparation for the 2026‑27 season, will be broadcast on the DAZN streaming service.

Serie D outfits Milazzo and Nuova Igea Virtus are also gearing up for the upcoming campaign. Milazzo began a training camp in Galati Mamertino that runs until 13 August, while Nuova Igea Virtus will train in Fiuggi from 31 July to 13 August. Coach Emanuele Ferraro emphasized the clubs’ focus on fitness, teamwork and squad cohesion, stating, “Stiamo cercando di fare le cose al meglio per avere una squadra competitiva in quello che sarà un campionato difficile e complicato.” Both clubs have added several young players to their rosters ahead of the new season.
