Italian clubs Ternana and Cosenza announce preseason activities and new signing

Ternana, nicknamed the Picchio, welcomed its youngest season ticket holder, three‑month‑old Santiago Scarpetti, who visited the squad in Norcia, underscoring the strong local support for the team as it prepares for its 28th campaign. The club’s preseason programme runs through July 27 and includes a closed‑door test against Grosseto on 23 July, a match versus Rieti on 26 July, and a home fixture against Lazio on 2 August, followed by a Coppa Italia tie with Potenza on 8 August. Director of sport Matteo Patti confirmed ongoing recruitment, citing interest in several players.

Separately, Cosenza Calcio announced the signing of 21‑year‑old left‑back Enrico Giannini on a two‑year contract with an option extending to 30 June 2028. Giannini, a former Napoli youth product, has experience in Serie D and Serie C, six UEFA Youth League appearances and two caps for Italy’s U‑19 side. The club expects the defender to add depth and versatility to its roster for the upcoming season.
