Italian coastal towns host summer night festivals under the stars

On August 10, the seaside village of Punta Secca in Santa Croce Camerina will hold the fifth edition of “Calici sotto le Stelle”, a wine‑focused festival organized by the Associazione Glocal and promoted by the municipality. Sixteen local wineries will offer tastings along a night‑time route through the historic centre, accompanied by live music and a shuttle service between Santa Croce and Punta Secca.

The same night, the Adriatic coast towns of Pesaro, Gabicce Mare and Gradara will stage the twelfth edition of “Candele sotto le Stelle”. Over ten kilometres of shoreline will be illuminated by more than 20 quintals of candles, with concerts, itinerant shows, a total‑white dress code and picnic areas. The event is coordinated by the three municipalities, the local Pro Loco, civil‑protective volunteers and other partners.

Both festivals aim to promote tourism, local culture and community interaction by turning the summer night sky into a shared celebratory backdrop.
