Italian communist groups host political festivals in August

Various Italian communist and left-wing organizations are hosting political gatherings in late August. In Limena, near Padua, Rifondazione Comunista is holding its national festival from August 26 to 30. The event features a diverse agenda including discussions on public health with Senator Andrea Crisanti, the situation in Palestine with Francesca Albanese, climate change with meteorologist Luca Mercalli, and the BRICS nations with Paolo Ferrero. The festival also includes a session on the Mediterranean and maintains a strong focus on Cuba, featuring an encounter with the Cuban Ambassador to Italy, Jorge Luis Cepero Aguilar.

Separately, the Orvieto Federation of the Italian Communist Party is organizing the “Festa Popolare Comunista” in Parrano on August 29 and 30. The event aims to foster direct engagement with local territories through musical entertainment and a debate titled “Criticità e Futuro – AREE INTERNE,” which focuses on analyzing regional issues and building community perspectives.
