Italian communities host events promoting peace and Mediterranean solidarity

Various initiatives in Italy have been organized to promote peace, dialogue, and interreligious solidarity. In Agnone, the Amici della Pace group is hosting an event titled ‘Per la pace contro tutte le guerre’ (For peace against all wars) on October 23. The program includes institutional greetings from Monsignor Camillo Cibotti and a lecture by Professor Sergio Tanzarella on the nature of war. The initiative also involves the installation of a Peace Plaque near the Agnone Monument to the Fallen, following similar installations in ten municipalities within the Diocese of Trivento.

In Mazara del Vallo, the Rotary Club concluded the 13th edition of the ‘Blue Rotarian International Event (BRIE) – Route towards Peace.’ The event, themed ‘Peace and Solidarity in the Mediterranean,’ concluded with the Rotarian Invocation for Peace among Peoples. The gathering aimed to foster interreligious and intercultural dialogue, envisioning the Mediterranean as a space for pluralism and shared hope.
