Italian communities host festivals to celebrate local heritage

Various Italian communities are hosting cultural and gastronomic festivals to preserve local heritage and traditions.

In Dolcecanto, the “Dolcecanto- la festa che ritorna” event aims to revitalize the cultural, social, and agricultural assets of Gravina. The two-day program includes rural walks, educational workshops in crafts like basketry and woodworking, and discussions on land reform. The event features local tastings, music, and theatrical performances to provide an authentic experience for residents and tourists.

In Vottignasco, the “À Vié, ‘ntle Vie” celebration focused on local identity and the valorization of De. Co. (Municipal Denominations) products. The event included the 52nd Bean and Noble Sausage Festival, which drew over 1,000 participants for an itinerant dinner. The festival highlighted regional culinary excellence and involved local authorities, including the Mayor of Vottignasco and representatives from the Piedmont Region.
