Italian communities launch parenting support initiatives
Various community initiatives in Italy are providing support and educational resources for parents and families.
In Pianoro, the municipality has launched a free series of meetings titled “Solo io capisco mio figlio… o forse no?” aimed at parents of primary school children. Held at the “Pietro Lazzarini” Museum of Arts and Crafts, the four-session program focuses on cognitive development, health, and psychological well-being. The sessions allow families to consult with healthcare and educational professionals to better recognize developmental milestones.
In Reggio Calabria, the second edition of “Colazione tra Mamme” was held, organized by perinatal educator Giovanna Fallanca. The event provided an informal space for approximately 40 participants to engage with specialists in midwifery, babywearing, and pediatric osteopathy. The initiative emphasizes participatory experiences over traditional lectures, aiming to build support networks for parents through dialogue and professional guidance.
