Italian communities mark major institutional anniversaries

Various Italian communities are marking significant institutional anniversaries. In Predazzo, the Cofas (Federazione del Teatro Amatoriale Trentino) will host a conference on October 11 to celebrate its 80th anniversary. The event, titled “80 anni, le radici e la memoria,” will examine the federation's history from its preliminary meetings in 1945 to its official founding in 1946. Discussions will cover the post-war cultural context, the strength of the federation, and the role of the Trentino dialect in preserving local identity through theater.

In Sarteano, the municipal RSA (Residenza Sanitaria Assistenziale) is celebrating 50 years of service on October 9. Originally an ONPI (Opera Nazionale Pensionati d’Italia) facility established in 1976, the structure transitioned from a hotel to a care center for the elderly. Over the decades, management shifted from national entities to regional and finally municipal oversight. The anniversary will feature musical performances and an exhibition titled “ArtONPI” to commemorate the history of elderly care in the region.
