Italian communities prepare for religious and cultural festivals

The program includes a solemn Eucharist presided over by Archbishop Luigi Vari on September 1, the presentation of the city keys to the Patroness by Mayor Gerardo Stefanelli, a traditional procession through the historic center, a band concert, and a fireworks display. In Contessa Entellina, the 'Kuntisa 2026' project will run from September 1 to September 8 to promote tourism and Arbëreshë identity. The week-long program features a mix of tradition and contemporary entertainment, including the traditional Arborata, cabaret, theater, and historical discussions. Musical events range from tributes to Lucio Battistiano to a 'Back to the '90s' themed night, all centered around the festivities for Maria Santissima della Favara.
