Italian community associations host charity events in memory of children

In Italy, local associations are hosting events to honor the memory of lost children through community support and solidarity.

In Padova, the Reggia dei Carraresi elementary school will host a charity sale on October 16. Organized by the association ‘Vivi la vita bella’, the event features the sale of Topolino comic books to benefit the school. The association was founded by parents of a child who passed away from a kidney tumor in May 2024, aiming to provide psychological support and scholarships to families facing similar grief.

In Brescia, the association AIL Brescia is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the presentation of the book ‘C’è sempre una luce dietro le nuvole. I primi 25 anni di AIL Brescia’ on October 18 at the San Barnaba Auditorium. Written by journalist Anna Della Moretta, the book chronicles how families transformed their personal loss into a commitment to support hematology patients and scientific research.
