Italian community basketball tournaments blend sport and music

On Saturday 18 July, the Circolo Primo Maggio in Montorio hosted a 3×3 basketball tournament for players aged 15 and up. Eight teams entered, each paying a €5 fee that included a T‑shirt. The day featured a DJ set, food and bar stalls, and a post‑game "Bounce & Drop" party with a local DJ duo.

In Sassari, the Sporting Club on Via Milano 26 held the third edition of the Summer Madness, a four‑day 4×4 competition that attracted more than 150 athletes across senior men, senior women, elite and minibasket categories. The event combined basketball matches with DJ sets, street‑culture activities and guest appearances from notable players. Winners included Kimos in senior men, Profit&Roll in the women’s division, and Armani Comio in the elite category, with individual MVP awards presented in each division.
