Italian community events in Bologna and Bari foster inclusion and local culture

On 7 May 2026 Casa Padre Marella in Bologna inaugurated “Baraonda – Caffè Inclusivo”, a weekly open‑door café offering coffee, tea, homemade pastries, reading material, music and games. The initiative, part of the INCLUSIONE LINK FOREVER project, is intended to reduce isolation among house residents and create a regular point of contact between the shelter and the surrounding neighbourhood.

On 14 June 2026 the Santo Spirito district of Bari held the fourth edition of the Sagra della Focaccia. Four local bakeries showcased the region’s iconic focaccia while a craft market, a children’s play area, and live music performances entertained visitors from 19:00 to 22:30. Both events aim to strengthen community ties and promote local cultural heritage.
