Italian community initiatives promote active aging and cognitive health

Various initiatives in Italy are focusing on active aging and cognitive health for seniors. In Padova, the Longevity Festival aims to help retirees and families utilize skills and manual expertise, such as woodworking, sewing, and ceramics, to maintain social connections and productive routines outside of traditional employment.

In Meda, the Centro Anziani Primo Busnelli is hosting a series of educational sessions titled ‘The questions you have always wanted to ask...’. A specific upcoming meeting led by psychologist Dr. Bugatti will address whether brain training is effective for maintaining memory, attention, and other cognitive functions during the aging process. These sessions, which continue through December, cover topics including mental habits, anxiety, and respiratory health, specifically targeting citizens over 65 and their families.
