Italian community programs launch for parental guidance and adolescent safety
Various community initiatives in Italy are launching to support parents and adolescents in navigating developmental risks and safety.
In Besozzo, the “Punto Salute Besozzo” is beginning a three-part series titled “Dipende!”. Designed for parents of children aged 11 and older, the program aims to provide information and tools regarding substance use and risky behaviors. The initiative, supported by Cooperativa Lotta and the Comunità Montana Valli del Verbano, features professional educators and pedagogists to facilitate non-judgmental discussions on adolescent well-being.
In Monza, the Teatro Villoresi will host “Crescere Genitori,” a free educational event organized by Salvagente. Rather than a traditional lecture, the program uses a live formative performance to address topics such as road safety, social media usage, and risk perception. The event encourages parents to act as guides rather than just controllers and is open to children aged 10 and older to foster a shared understanding of safety and digital tools.
