Italian companies advance reforestation and sustainability initiatives

Several Italian companies are advancing environmental sustainability through reforestation projects. Econocom Italia, in collaboration with zeroCO2, has planted 200 trees at La Piemontesina in Chivasso, near Turin. This initiative establishes Italy’s first agriasilo within a farm, aiming to create a green space for children's nature-based education and community engagement.

Separately, the Tuscan B Corp certified tourism company Samovar has reached a milestone in its Foresta Samovar project. Since 2021, in partnership with the international platform Tree-Nation, the company has planted 10,004 trees across 11.56 hectares. This reforestation effort is estimated to absorb more than 1,735 tons of CO2 during the first ten years of the trees' growth.
