Italian companies face 28% surge in Monday morning call volumes
An analysis by the European AI platform fonio.ai reveals a significant ‘Monday effect’ for Italian companies. On Monday mornings, the volume of business calls in Italy is 28% higher than the average for other workdays during the same time slot.
This surge is attributed to a combination of requests accumulated over the weekend and the resumption of administrative, commercial, and organizational activities. The data shows that the peak for telephone calls occurs at 10:00 AM.
Furthermore, Italian businesses face high pressure outside of standard working hours. Approximately 26.7% of business calls in Italy arrive outside the conventional 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM window, a figure that ranks Italy first among the nine European markets analyzed, ahead of the United Kingdom (24%) and Germany (11.5%). Additionally, 12.7% of calls are received during the weekend.
