Italian conservatories launch new music and wellness programs

Italian musical and artistic institutions are launching new educational and wellness initiatives. In Parma, the Arrigo Boito Conservatory has opened registrations for its children's choir, aimed at primary and middle school students. Led by Professor Ilaria Poldi, the program focuses on rhythmic and melodic reading, as well as polyphony, to foster musical skills and teamwork.

In Monopoli, the Nino Rota Conservatory, in collaboration with the Bari Academy of Fine Arts, is resuming the ‘Armonia Mentale’ (Mental Harmony) project. Funded by the MUR, this initiative addresses student emotional and social distress through integrated paths of art, music, and scientific research. The program includes workshops on Taiji Quan, Qi Gong, musical autobiographies, and the Feldenkrais Method to promote psychological well-being and inclusion among students.
