Italian Constitutional Court Accepts Senate Appeal in Santanché Visibilia Case

The Italian Constitutional Court ruled that the Senate's appeal concerning former tourism minister Daniela Santanché is admissible. The appeal challenges the Milan Prosecutor’s investigation into alleged aggravated fraud linked to INPS payments for Visibilia employees during the Covid period. The Court ordered that the decision be promptly communicated to the Senate, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Chamber of Deputies within sixty days.

In a separate ruling, the first‑instance tax court in Viterbo annulled a payment notice and cancelled a taxpayer’s debt after finding procedural violations by the Agenzia delle Entrate‑Riscossione. The court also ordered the tax agency to reimburse the taxpayer’s legal costs.
