Italian cooperative banks report strong mid-2026 financial growth

Italian cooperative banks Bcc Milano and Bcc Busto Garolfo e Buguggiate have reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, highlighting growth in net equity and net profit.

Bcc Milano announced it is on track to reach a net equity of nearly 600 million euros by mid-2026. The institution reported that local lending exceeded 3 billion euros, representing an 11.6 percent increase. The bank is focusing its strategy on insurance consultancy, pension funds, and supporting local businesses with generational turnover.

Bcc Busto Garolfo e Buguggiate reported a net profit of 7.562 million euros for the first six months of the year, a 7.95 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. The bank also saw an 11.53 percent rise in net commissions, driven by a strategy to expand service-based revenues. Additionally, the bank has expanded its physical presence by opening four new branches in Cantello, Lavena Ponte Tresa, Luino, and Varese Biumo.
