Italian cooperatives celebrate 40 years of social and economic activity

Two Italian cooperatives, Cooperativa di Consumo Della Rava e Della Fava and Seacoop, marked their 40th anniversaries with commemorative events.

In Asti, the Cooperativa di Consumo Della Rava e Della Fava held a celebration focused on its history of organic products, fair trade, and mutualistic finance since 1986. The event included a public meeting featuring representatives from NaturaSì, Altromercato Impresa Sociale, and Mag 4 Piemonte. Local officials, including the Mayor of Asti, attended the ceremony where a commemorative plaque was presented to the cooperative.

In Imola, the social cooperative Seacoop organized a conference titled ‘Experience, passion and network work in services for people’ at the Auditorium of the ex Chiesa dell’Osservanza. The event addressed the value of social work and collaboration between institutions and communities. Speakers included the national president of Legacoopsociali and experts in civil economy. The program also included a memorial segment for former members and a discussion on future challenges, such as personnel shortages.
