Italian cooperatives strengthen international ties with Brazil and Uruguay

A delegation of 16 specialized Brazilian doctors from the Unimed Unimed Belo Horizonte section visited the Rehcura functional rehabilitation center in Adelfia, Italy. The visit, organized as part of international cultural exchange initiatives by Confcooperative, focused on observing the center’s organizational, managerial, and rehabilitative models. Unimed, which holds approximately 34% of the Brazilian health insurance market, participated in the exchange to study innovative operational methods and assistance techniques.

In a separate development regarding international trade, UN. I. COOP. promoted a mission to Uruguay to strengthen ties between Italy and the MERCOSUR region. The initiative aims to establish the ‘Italy-Uruguay Cooperative Industrial Platform’ to facilitate the internationalization of Italian expertise. The goal is to move beyond simple product exports by creating partnerships that integrate Italian technology, innovation, and know-how with new markets, positioning Uruguay as a strategic partner for the Italian cooperative system within MERCOSUR.
