Italian Court Orders Judicial Liquidation of Saxa Grestone Plants

The Ordinary Court of Rome declared the judicial liquidation of the Saxa Grestone industrial group, affecting its plants in Roccasecca, Gualdo Tadino and nearby sites. The decision ends a long‑standing crisis for the company, which had been under restructuring talks for years.

Mayor Giuseppe Sacco of Roccasecca criticized the outcome, warning of heightened job insecurity for local residents. He announced the municipality will attend a forthcoming ministerial meeting with the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy to seek clarification on the reasons behind the abandonment of a concordato, the choice of extraordinary administration, and the disposition of previously pledged investment funds.
