Andrea Sempio audio fuels new Garlasco murder investigation

A newly released, allegedly cleaned audio attributed to Andrea Sempio has been broadcast on Italian TV programmes such as *Filorosso* and *Zona Bianca* (Rete 4, 24 June 2026). The recording, prepared by YouTuber Francesca Bugamelli, references intimate videos involving the murder victim Chiara Poggi and her boyfriend Alberto Stasi, renewing speculation that the videos may have motivated the 2017 killing.

Italian investigators are re‑examining the February 2017 wiretap, previously deemed irrelevant, after the audio highlighted the phrases “Si sono filmati perché hanno visto dei filmati porno” and “Ha sempre un impegno”. Prosecutors and defence lawyers of Sempio, Stasi and the victim’s family were invited to comment on the programme. While the new evidence has not yet led to formal charges, the renewed focus could reshape the ongoing trial for the Garlasco murder.

The case remains under judicial review, with the Carabinieri and the Pavia prosecutor’s office assessing whether the audio substantiates a motive linked to the intimate videos.
