Italian courts issue sentences in separate violent crime cases
Italian judicial proceedings have concluded in several distinct criminal cases involving armed aggression and homicide.
In Naples, Vincenzo Rossi and Vincenzo Bevivino were sentenced to five years in prison for an armed attack in the Quartieri Spagnoli district. The incident, which occurred on January 3, 2026, at the Pisadog Spritz establishment, involved gunfire that injured business owner Gianluca Pisacane. The charges were reclassified from attempted murder to aggravated injury by Judge Nicoletta Campanaro.
In Vigevano, Cleo Koludra Stefanescu was sentenced to 14 years and two months in prison for the stabbing death of Luca Leone. The crime, occurring on May 25, 2025, stemmed from a dispute over an unpaid debt of approximately 80,000 euros. The defendant utilized a kitchen knife during the confrontation.
Separately, the Court of Cassation has issued a definitive acquittal for Paolo Calligaris regarding the 2008 murder of Tatiana Tulissi in Manzano. The court cited reasonable doubt, noting the insufficient timeframe between Calligaris's return home and the shots fired, effectively ending a legal process spanning nearly 18 years.
