Italian craft events highlight DIY culture and traditional artistry

Italy is hosting several events celebrating traditional craftsmanship and the 'Do It Yourself' (DIY) movement. From October 22 to 25, Abilmente Milano will take place at Superstudio Maxi. Organized by the Italian Exhibition Group, the event features over 120 brands and offers workshops through the Abilmente Academy. Activities include wood pyrography, tufting, crochet, mosaic, and botanical printing, alongside a textile art exhibition titled ‘Omaggio ai Fiori d’Artista’.

Additionally, the tenth anniversary of ApritiModa will feature the Atelier RossoCorallo in Trapani on October 24 and 25. This initiative opens private ateliers and laboratories to the public to showcase ‘Made in Italy’ expertise. In Trapani, the focus will be on the history and artistic processing of coral, including a preview of a major work by Master Platimiro Fiorenza.
