Italian Cuisine Festival to debut across nine Swiss cities

The inaugural Festival della Cucina Italiana in Svizzera is scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 4, 2026. Organized by journalist and entrepreneur Carla Botta through Carbot Communication, the event will feature ten culinary appointments across nine Swiss cities, including Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne, Basel, and Lugano.

The festival, themed ‘We Are Together’, aims to promote Italian gastronomy, regional traditions, and the ‘Made in Italy’ brand. The program focuses on professional exchange through ‘eight-hand dinners,’ where Italian chefs and pizzaiolos collaborate with local Swiss restaurant professionals to create menus based on shared techniques and territorial identities.

In addition to culinary demonstrations, the event includes wine pairings supported by ICE to promote Italian wines and talks regarding the entrepreneurial aspects of Italian cuisine. The festival is part of the broader ‘Italian Cuisine Week in the World’ and seeks to strengthen the cultural and economic ties between Italy and Switzerland by highlighting the expertise of Italian restaurateurs operating within the Swiss market.
