Italian Cuisine Festival to launch across Switzerland in 2026

The Festival della Cucina Italiana in Svizzera is scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 4, 2026. Announced at the Casa del Made in Italy in Milan, the event aims to use Italian gastronomy as a tool for dialogue between businesses, communities, and territories.

The festival will span nine cities across Switzerland and feature ten selected Italian restaurants and pizzerias to showcase the excellence of Italian catering. Organizer Carla Botta noted that the project intends to highlight the entire 'Made in Italy' supply chain, including innovation, research, and professional expertise, rather than just the restaurant sector.

Fabiola Gallo, Coordinator of the Houses of Made in Italy at MIMIT, emphasized the role of these territorial hubs in promoting Italian productive excellence. The initiative comes following the international recognition of Italian cuisine as intangible cultural heritage.
