Italian culinary festivals announced for late 2026

Italy is set to host two significant culinary events in late 2026. In Sammichele di Bari, the third edition of “Calici nel Borgo” will take place on October 10 and 11. Organized by the New Bahia Cultural Association, the event aims to celebrate local traditions and enogastronomic excellence through wine tastings from Puglian wineries, local specialties, and live music.

In Imola, the “Baccanale 2026” festival will run from October 24 to November 15. The theme for this edition is “Encounters: Italian cuisine without borders,” focusing on the recognition of Italian cuisine as a UNESCO heritage site. The three-week event will feature show cooking, tastings, and markets. Imola Mayor Marco Panieri noted that the festival serves as an international showcase for “Made in Italy” excellence, using food as a tool for cultural connection. Featured participants include culinary expert Chiara Maci.
