Italian cultural awards celebrate poetry and musical heritage

Several cultural award ceremonies took place in Italy during late August 2026. In Civitella del Tronto, the XXVIII Oreste Pelagatti National Poetry Prize was held, organized by the cultural association Le Lunarie. Winners in the published poetry category included Elisabetta Sancinoco for ‘Il corpo vegetale’, Christian Sinicco for ‘Ballate di Lagosta’, and Cesare Davide Cavon for ‘Il 10% dei sogni’. The event also recognized winners in unpublished poetry and children's poetry categories, providing Braille copies of books to certain winners.

In Corleto Perticara, the fifth edition of the Rossetti Montano Prize concluded after three days of musical and cultural events. The festival featured concerts, masterclasses, and editorial presentations aimed at connecting the heritage of Basilicata with national and international artistic scenes. Key recipients included Alessandra D’Eugenio for Research and Dissemination of Musical Heritage, Antonella Pecoraro for Research and Valorization of Lucanian Musical Heritage in Music Education, and Checco Pallone for Artistic Career. The event also awarded scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.
