Santarcangelo hosts 12th edition of Cantiere Poetico festival

The 12th edition of the Cantiere Poetico per Santarcangelo, titled ‘Il corpo delle poesie’, is scheduled to take place from October 18 to October 25. The festival will feature poets, writers, artists, and journalists participating in various activities across the community to explore the relationship between spoken words and the human body.

A central theme of this year’s edition is the focus on Italian dialects through the project ‘Dialetti di nuovo’. This initiative aims to preserve and revitalize local linguistic roots, starting with book presentations such as Franco Brevini’s ‘In parole povere’. The program also includes educational workshops for children and adolescents titled ‘Stupendi. Selvatici sapienti’.

In a related administrative development, the Santarcangelo City Council approved a budget variation for the 2026-2028 period. The adjustment includes increased revenue of approximately 340,000 euros and higher expenditures of 450,000 euros. These funds are intended to cover rising utility costs and provide financial support for cultural activities, including the Cantiere Poetico and Santarcangelo dei Teatri.
