Italian cultural events highlight religious art in Este and Treviso

Several cultural and religious art events are scheduled in Italy. In Este, a guided tour of the Duomo di Santa Tecla and the Oratorio di San Valentino is set for September 20, 2026. The tour, led by an art historian and involving social inclusion projects by Fondazione IREA ETS, will highlight works by Giambattista Tiepolo and the veiled sculptures of Antonio Corradini.

In Treviso, a ceremony will take place on September 15 at 6:00 PM to return Domenico Capriolo’s 1520 painting, ‘Assunzione della Vergine’, to the cathedral. Following extensive conservation work by restorers Roberto Saccuman and Marta Schiavinato, the piece will be placed in the cathedral's chapel dedicated to the Virgin. The restoration was funded by private donors in memory of their parents.
