Italian cultural festivals celebrate heritage in California and Australia

Cultural celebrations of Italian heritage are taking place in San Pedro, California, and Fremantle, Australia.

In San Pedro, the Festa Italiana Los Angeles 2026, hosted by the Little Italy of Los Angeles Association in partnership with Los Angeles Council District 15, featured traditional cuisine, music, and community activities. Local vendors provided authentic dishes including pizza, pasta, and pastries.

In Fremantle, the Little Italy by the Sea festival is scheduled for October 25. The event honors the history of Italian migrants who arrived through the port. The festival will include demonstrations of traditional pasta-making by local elders, highlighting regional cooking methods and the preservation of family traditions across generations.
