Italian cultural festivals in Villa Margi and Avellino promote community regeneration

The second edition of the literary‑art cycle “Contamina‑azioni” took place in Villa Margi, Reitano, from 1 to 29 August. The program featured six contemporary writers – Giosuè Calaciura, Nunzia Lo Presti, Maria Attanasio, Nino Amadore, Sergio Sichenze and Gian Mauro Costa – and was organized by artist‑patron Antonio Presti to foster territorial regeneration through the “politics of beauty”.

In Avellino, the “Trame: Dialoghi tra Arte, Poesia e Città” exhibition opened in the Church of Carmine, turning the nave into a temporary gallery for three days. Curators Luca Cipriano, Emanuela Conforti and Immacolata Di Maio, together with project founder Dorotea Virtuoso, presented works by twenty local artists, emphasizing art’s role in rebuilding social ties and encouraging active public participation.

Both events underline a broader Italian effort to use culture, literature and visual arts as tools for community cohesion and regional identity renewal.
