Italian cultural festivals scheduled for September 2026

Several traditional cultural festivals are scheduled for September 2026 in Italy.

The Festa della Madonna del Piano will take place from September 17 to 20. This 150-year-old tradition, which originated as a livestock and goods fair, features a diverse program including dance performances by Angelica Salvati, a DJ set by DJ Matrix, comedy by Nduccio, and a musical performance by the Simone Band. The event will conclude with a fireworks display.

In Catanzaro, the Notte Piccante festival will run from September 18 to 20. The event utilizes the city's historic center, including noble palaces and squares, to host live music, gastronomy, and comedy. The opening night at Piazza Prefettura includes the Di Marzio Cup memorial and the presentation of the ‘Il Peperoncino straordinario’ award to footballer Massimo Palanca.
