Italian cultural figures Annamaria Farricelli and Sara Cetty receive major honors

Several cultural honors have been announced in Italy. Poet and writer Annamaria Farricelli is set to receive the Special Bolognini Lifetime Achievement Award in 2026. The ceremony, held in Rome at the Radisson Blu Grand Hotel Ritz, is part of the fifth edition of the Bolognini Prize, which celebrates excellence in cinema and culture. The event will also honor Franco Nero with a lifetime achievement award and pay tribute to actress Claudia Cardinale.

In Lanciano, haute couture designer Sara Cetty was named Woman of the Year 2026. During an event at the Auditorium Diocleziano, she received the Romnì of the Year 2026 award from the Thèm Romanò Association. Cetty presented her “Romani Sarabe” collection, which uses fashion to explore Romani culture and identity, tracing the historical journey of the Romani people through colors and textures inspired by their ancestral routes.
